Jeannette Ann Smith age 70 of St. Albans, West Virginia, formerly of Grass Run Road, in Gilmer County, departed this life at 3:53 AM; Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia following an extended illness.
Born December 12, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio, Jeannette was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant in the health care industry and had 17 years of service at the Glenville Nursing Home and Rehab Center. In her spare time, Jeannette enjoyed spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, playing bingo, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and going to church.
On April 29, 1966 Jeannette was united in marriage to Ronald Ray Smith, who preceded her in death on October 19, 2005.
Surviving are 2 children, Terri Smith of Buckhannon, WV; and Ronald R. Smith Jr. and wife Beth of St. Albans, WV; 1 brother, Lyle Sadler of Athens, Alabama, 7 grandchildren, Amelia Javins, Isaac, Sylis, and Elijah Sealey, Nick and Joshua Sharp, and Kassandra French, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 3:00 PM., Sunday August 21, 2016 with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery in Glenville. Friends may call from 2-3 PM; Sunday afternoon at the Mortuary.
