Eleanor Faye “Ellie” Lillico (Stalnaker) went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2017, following a stroke on April 28, 2017 and ensuing complications. She was staying at Meadow Grove Transitional Care Center, under the care of Ohio Health Hospice.
Ellie is survived by her son, Ralph (Denise) Lillico, and her beloved granddaughters, Sabrina Lillico and Gabriella Lillico, nephews Chuck West, Bob Stalnaker, Roger Stalnaker, Lyle Russell Stalnaker, and nieces Erin Elizabeth “Betsy” Hunter (Stalnaker) and Cathy Seaman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland Ralph Stalnaker and Lenora Boggs Stalnaker, and siblings John Stalnaker, Ralph Marvin Stalnaker, Lyle “Buck” Stalnaker, Mary Helen “Jake” James (Stalnaker) and Winifred “Dickie” Vieth (Stalnaker).
Ellie was born on April 7, 1934 in Orton, WV. She graduated from Normantown High School in 1951. She lived for many years in Elyria, OH, where she was active in the lay ministry of her church and worked as a bookkeeper for the Elyria Family YMCA, then as a secretary for Legal Aid Society of Lorain County. She retired in 2008 and moved to Grove City, OH in 2009 to be closer to her granddaughters. Ellie enjoyed reading, birdwatching, knitting, listening to classical music, and spending time with her beloved granddaughters. She led a Bible study at Grovewood Place, where she lived up until her stroke.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Boggs Cemetery in Normantown at 11:00 AM; Friday September 29, 2017 with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating.
