Shelia Rae Ables 44 of Glenville, WV departed this life suddenly in Ormond Beach, FL on November 7, 2017. Born March 5, 1973 in Calhoun County, Shelia is the daughter of Dotty Goad Carreiro of Ormond Beach, FL and the late Sheridan Ray Ables.
Shelia was a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1992. She was also a graduate of Glenville State College with a degree in education. Shelia worked as a substitute teacher for several years in Gilmer County and in her spare time, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, riding atv’s, and living the quiet life in West Virginia.
Surviving is her son, Parker E. Tallhamer III of Glenville, granddaughter, Brooklyn Renee Tallhamer of Glenville, and siblings, Sharlet Wagoner of Stumptown, Shay Massey of Arnoldsburg, Bobby Burgess of Huntington, WV and Billy Cottrell of Glenville.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26351 at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Grove Cemetery in Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Saturday evening at the mortuary.
