Linda L. Greenlief Nolan 64 of Jane Lew, WV formerly of Glenville departed this life on the evening of Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center following an extended illness. Born February 23, 1953 in Gilmer County, Linda is the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Langford Greenlief.
Linda was a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1971. She was the owner and operator of the Small World Daycare with 22 years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed being with family and friends, spoiling her grandsons whenever possible, and cooking. Linda was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed attending Sunday church services at the Church of God of Prophecy.
On September 21, 1970 Linda was united in marriage to William E. “Bill” Nolan, who preceded her in death on September 14, 2017.
Surviving is 1 son, Rick Nolan and wife Carla of Jane Lew, WV; 2 grandsons, Levi and Caleb Nolan of Jane Lew, and 4 siblings, Betty Byrd and husband Asel of Glenville, Wanda Frederick of Glenville, Emma Bryd of Glenville, and Steve Greenlief and wife Joyce of Burnsville.
Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Kenny and Lynn Greenlief, and Mildred Greathouse.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Church of God of Prophecy in Sand Fork, WV at 1:00 PM; Wednesday, December 13, 2017 with Pastor Bryan Groves and Pastor Donnie Stout officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhoades Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 11-1 Wednesday at the church. Following graveside services, dinner is being prepared at the Church of God of Prophecy and all are encouraged to attend and share in food and fellowship.
