Rosalee Hickman Roberts, age 80 of Glenville, WV (Kanawha Drive Community), went home to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at her residence following a strong fight against an extended illness.

She was born in Gilmer County, WV, daughter of the late Wesley Hickman and Madge Robinson Hickman.   She was a graduate of Sand Fork High School class of 1959.  She was a member of Glenville First Baptist Church.

After working as a waitress through high school, where she met the love of her life, Rosalee spent her life creating a wonderful home for her family.  When her children were young, she volunteered many hours to their school and church activities.  She owned and operated Sandy and Rose’s Fabric Shop with dear friend Sandra Drake for nearly seven years.  She was always ready to go camping, traveling, and to the beach.  She enjoyed the family gatherings which allowed her to cook for all those she loved.

On June 26, 1959 she married Reginald “Reggie” Roberts who survives at their home.  She was a loving mother of two surviving daughters, Brenda Reedy and husband Dean of Manns Harbor, NC, and Sandy Wanstreet and husband Scott of Glenville.  Also surviving are four grandchildren who were her pride and joy:  Jessica Reedy, Samantha Reedy, Tyler Wanstreet and wife Adrianna, and Haley Wanstreet; and one sister Linda Dudley of Roanoke, VA; and several nieces and nephews and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents, Rosalee was proceeded in death by two sisters Betty Stalnaker and Patty Hamric, and nephew Rick Hamric all of Glenville.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Meadow Lane Cemetery on WV HWY 5West, Glenville, on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 2:30pm with burial to follow.   Officiating will be Pastor Kenny Fisher.
