Ina Alice Kirkpatrick Woodford, 95 of Glenville, WV; (Baldwin Community) departed this earthly life in the late evening hours of Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Genesis Health Care Glenville Center following an extended illness.
She was born June 3, 1926 in Baldwin, WV; daughter of the late William Blair and Della Ford Kirkpatrick.
Ina was a sewer for Kenney Shoe Factory in Glenville having retired in the 1980’s. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star, state member of the Pythian Sisters, Baldwin Satellites, Tanner Satellites, Cedar Creek Satellites, the Baldwin CEO’s and the Red Hats Society. She attended Sunday services at the Stewarts Creek Church, and was the 1989 Gilmer County Belle
On December 25, 1987 she was united in marriage to Charles Woodford who preceded her in death on September 3, 2012.
Surviving are 2 step-children, Alice Crawford (Bob) and Todd Woodford (Kit), 4 nieces, Margie Stalnaker, Cathy Shackleford (Jim), Vickie Allman, and Becky Oppe (Jimmy), 1 special great-nephew, Cale Shackleford (Deanna), and 1 special great-niece, Heather Lewis (Onick).
Also surviving are a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents and husband and numerous other extended family, Ina is preceded in death by her step-son Charles, and 6 siblings, Rev. Glenn Kirkpatrick, Victor R. Kirkpatrick, Nobel Kirkpatrick, Hallie Kirkpatrick, Garnett Furr Smith, and Hazel Kirkpatrick.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Saturday, February 19, 2022 with Rev. Bill Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodford Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 11:00 – 1:00 Saturday at the mortuary in Glenville.
