Jeff Wallbrown, 63 of Normantown, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Monday, December 30, 2024 at his daughters residence in Glenville (Baldwin community) following an extended illness.
He was born August 7, 1961 in Arnoldsburg, WV; son of Harley Steele of Normantown, and the late Jean Marie (Goodrich) Steele.
Jeff worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years in the timber industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding ATV’s, hunting, spending time with his wife, family, and friends, caring for his dogs, Sammi, Digger, and Spud, and spoiling his grandchildren whenever possible.
On August 21, 1982 Jeff was united in marriage to Kathryn L. (Moore) Wallbrown, who preceded him in death on October 17, 2022.
Surviving are 4 children, Mike Wallbrown of Clarksburg, WV; and Crystal Cox and husband Scott of Glenville, WV; and 5 siblings, Sharon Dye (Perry) of Big Springs, WV; Judy Darlene Steele (Fiancée Jerry Posey) of Walkersville, WV; Norma Reed (Robert) of Normantown, Harley Steele Jr. (JoAnn) of Gassaway, WV; and Christopher Steele of Normantown.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Sunday, January 5, 2025 with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. Following funeral services, Jeff’s request for cremation will be honored. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM; Sunday at the mortuary in Glenville.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Braxton County Humane Society in honor of Jeff and Kathy.
