Kathy Jo Bailey

Kathy Jo Bailey, 46 of Cox’s Mills, WV; departed this earthly life on Friday, February 25, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born August 10, 1975 in Weston, WV; daughter of the late Christine Skidmore Bell and Robert Junior Bell of Cox’s Mills.

Kathy is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1993. She worked numerous jobs including but not limited to construction, turkey farming, and was a manager at McDonald’s in Hardy County, WV. In her spare time, Kathy enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s, spending time with family and friends, and she was a Christian by faith.

Surviving are 2 children, Sabrina Wiant and husband Anthony of Cox’s Mills and Katlin Bailey of Cox’s Mills, 3 siblings, Bobbie Jo Atencia of Woodridge, VA; Brittany Dawn Bell of Sand Fork, WV; and Robert Junior Bell II of Cox’s Mills.

Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Kolton and Christine Bailey and Ember and Opel Wiant, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Kathy’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of her life will be at a later date.
