Patricia Ann Sands

Patricia Ann Sands, 72 of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life in the late evening hours of Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Glenville Center Nursing Facility, following an extended illness.

She was born August 23, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD; daughter of Peggy (Slick) Spalding of Martinsburg, WV; and the late Wayne Spalding.

Patricia is a graduate of Charles Town Senior High School, class of 1970. During her youth, Patricia was very athletic, having excelled in both tennis and basketball. She was a homemaker most of her adult life and enjoyed working puzzles, spending time with family and friends, and communicating with family via the telephone.

Surviving are 5 children, Matt Henderson of Winchester, VA; Kristy Lowther (Justin) of Normantown, WV; Jamie Dennison of Glenville, Travis Dennison (Sarah) of Sand Fork, WV; and Alex Dennison (Jessie) of West Liberty, KY; and 4 siblings, Barbara Anderson of Middleway, WV; David Spalding (Kim) of North Carolina, Richard Spalding (Robbin) of Charles Town, WV; and Judy Secrist (Mike) of Martinsburg, WV.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her father, Patricia is preceded in death by an infant great-grandson, Drake.

Patricia’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of her life will be conducted at a later date.
