Obituaries

Nora Ellen Beall age 89 of Normantown, West Virginia departed this life in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 02, 2016 at her granddaughter’s home on Newberne Road, following an extended illness.

Born November 22, 1926 in Gilmer County, WV Nora was the daughter of the late Alvin Scott and Ruth Moss Reed.

Nora was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, canning, and collecting newspaper clippings. Nora’s true passion was her family. She loved spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, and making sure everyone at the dinner table was full.

Nora was a Baptist by faith and long time member of the Upper Steer Run Baptist Church.

On August 24, 1946, Nora was united in marriage to Charles Leland Beall who preceded her in death on December 04, 1984.

Their 2 sons, Brenton Beall of Normantown and Bobby Beall and wife Regina also of Normantown.

Their 6 grandchildren, Travis Beall of Morgantown, WV; Douglas Beall and wife Allison of Normantown, Tracy Moyers and husband Shane of Wilsie, WV; Kourtney Self and husband Greg of Cox’s Mills, Bradley Beall of Normantown, and Britney Beall of Tanner, 6 great-grandchildren, Lilliun Beall, Brody, Joel, Brooklyn Beall, and Brent and Braylie Moyers,and 1 brother, Wilbert Reed and wife Arlene of LaGrange, Ohio.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Nora was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Woodford and Wilford Reed, 1 infant brother, Francis Reed, and 2 sisters, Hazel Alltop and Rhoda Osborne.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Upper Steer Run Baptist Church at 1:00 PM; Saturday, June 04, 2016.

Burial will follow in the Beall Cemetery on Steer Run.
