Joanne Marie King Collins age 64 of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life suddenly on Friday evening, July 29, 2016 at her residence.
Born November 9, 1951 in South Bend, Indiana, Joanne was the daughter of the late Delbert H. and LaVerne Foley King.
Joanne was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. She also had 18 years of service at the Glenville Nursing Facility. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, talking on the telephone, and caring for all those around her.
Joanne was always a behind the scenes person. She never enjoyed the spot light, but those around her knew she was a warm glowing light in her own right. She will be greatly missed by all of us who knew her. We will laugh, cry, and miss her all at the same time, but she is finally reunited in heaven with her son, Bruce and husband, Buster.
Surviving are 2 siblings, Mary Ellen Schiffer Pua and husband Ike of Las Vegas, Nevada and Phil King of Laughlin, Nevada.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, many other family members, and friends.
Along with her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her long term companion, William R. “Buster” Collins, her son, Bruce Collins, sister, Sandra Drennen, and 2 brothers, Johnny and Kenny King.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 4:00 PM; Thursday, August 4, 2016 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery, in Glenville. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 PM. Thursday afternoon at the mortuary.
