Dorothy Nell Kennedy Barrineau

Dorothy Nell Kennedy, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Jack Ross Kennedy died Friday, October 14, 2016. Interment was Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Normantown, West Virginia.
Nell was born September 20, 1931 in Georgetown, South Carolina, daughter of the late Gilbert William Barrineau and the late Ruth Terry Barrineau. She was a purchasing supervisor at Westvaco and retired in 1998. Nell was married to her husband for 63 years. She was a Charter Member of Cooper River Baptist Church.
She is survived by six children: J. Ross Kennedy, Jr. (Kathy) of Summerville, SC; David Neil Kennedy (Suzanne) of Chesapeake, VA; William Brett Kennedy (Stella) of Bethera, SC; Ellen Kennedy Thompson (Tom) of North Charleston, SC; Chad Eric Kennedy (Amy) of Columbia, SC; Chris Lane Kennedy, MD (Susie) of Goose Creek, SC; daughter in law Rebecca Williams Kennedy of Newberry, SC; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emily Barrineau Blount of Georgetown, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, and son, Mark Dwain Kennedy, MD.
