Linda Ruth Johnson age 67 of Upper Horn Creek Road, Cox’s Mills, WV; departed this life on the evening of Tuesday, October 11, 2016 with her husband by her side following an extended illness.
Born April 17, 1949 in Alma, Arkansas, Linda is the daughter of the late Jonie and Annie Lovell Shores.
Linda was a graduate of Alma High School in Alma, AR; class of 1967. She was a farmer in the agricultural industry, having helped her family raise strawberries, grapes, and blackberries just to name a few. In her spare time Linda enjoyed gardening, collecting Avon figurines, living the quiet life in West Virginia, and spending time with her husband.
On February 14, 1986, Linda was united in marriage to Frank Johnson who survives at their Cox’s Mills home.
Along with her husband, Linda is survived by 3 siblings, Lloyd Shores and wife Brenda, Kenneth Shores and wife Jana, and Sue Rodman all of Arkansas.
Per her request, Linda will be cremated and the family will have a memorial serve in Arkansas at a later date.
