Betty Jean Stalnaker age 81 of Glenville, West Virginia, (Baldwin Community)departed this life suddenly on the evening of Friday, November 11, 2016 at her residence along WV; Hwy; 33 east of Glenville, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 10, 1935 in Gilmer County, Betty was the daughter of the late Wesley and Madge Robinson Hickman.
Betty was a Baptist by faith and member of the Glenville First Baptist Church.
She was also a homemaker, Graduate of Sand Fork High School, Class of 1954, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, tending to her flowers, and she was a volunteer for the Teresa Snaith Aux. for many years at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Betty never knew a stranger, and her most joyful times were spent with her family and her lord and savior.
On March 21, 1955, Betty was united in marriage to William “Bill” Stalnaker who survives at their Baldwin home.
Surviving are 2 children, Susan Stalnaker-Ware and husband Joe of Glenville, WV; and William K. “Bill” Stalnaker and wife Debbie of Glenville, WV; and 4 loving grandchildren, Tommy Moody and wife Katlyn, Adaire Snyder and husband Joe, Niki Ramezan and husband Jonathan, and Cody Stalnaker and wife Kristen, and 5 great-grandchildren, Jolee Snyder, Greyson Ramazan, Zander Ramazan, Kenley Stalnaker, and Bexlee Moody.
Also surviving are 2 sisters, Rose Roberts and husband Reggie of Glenville, and Linda Dudley of Roanoke, Virginia, and a host of other family and friends.
Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by 1 sister, Patty Ann Hamric, 1 granddaughter, Adalynn Reese Snyder and 1 great grandson, Mason Stalnaker.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc; 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Tuesday November 15, 2016 with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 11-1 PM; Tuesday morning at the Mortuary.
Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Betty J. Stalnaker with arrangements.
