Darren W. Pritt age 49 of Troy, WV; departed this life on March 22, 2017 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following a short illness.
Born October 30 , 1967 in Calhoun County, Darren is the son of the late John W. Pritt and Janet Swiger Pritt, of Sand Fork.
Darren was a graduate of Gilmer County High School class of 1985. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a former truck driver for Dowell. His current job was working for Proactive Services in the oil and gas industry.
In his own words, Darren was a “Jack of all trades and a master of none”, in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, drawing, woodworking, and making people laugh.
Along with his mother, Darren is survived by 2 children, Cheyenne Pritt and fiancée Courtney Hall and Logan Pritt both of Troy, WV; 1 step-daughter, Brittny Bragg and husband Alex of White Sulphur Springs, WV; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Arbogast of Blue Creek, WV; and Gracy Bragg of White Sulphur Springs, WV; and 4 siblings, Debbie Sturms and Husband Harold of Sand Fork, WV; Richard Pritt and wife Misty of Shock, WV; Kevin Pritt and companion Beth Johnston of French Creek, WV; and Johnny Pritt and wife Kelly of Heaters, WV.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc; 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 4:00 PM; Sunday March 26, 2017 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Immediately following services Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard. Friends will be received from 1-4 PM; Sunday afternoon at the mortuary.
