Peggy A. Moore-Cox
November 25, 1950 - August 31, 2017
Peggy A. Moore-Cox, age 66 of Elizabeth, WV, formerly of Glenville, departed her earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:28 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV, following a brief illness.
She was born November 25, 1950 in Calhoun County, a daughter of Betty Roberts Westfall of Parkersburg.
Peggy and her smile that always welcomed you, was owner and operator of the Common Place Restaurant alongside her first husband, Fred Moore, who preceded her in death, March 11, 2011. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Community Church. Peggy loved spending time with family and friends. Peggy and her husband enjoyed showing their 51 Henry J and 4-wheeling in their Renli.
On January 5, 2016, Peggy married Carl Cox, who survives at their Elizabeth home.
Other survivors include children: Renate Ragans of Gloucester, VA; John Moore and wife, Manervia of Glenville, WV; Kelly Radcliff and husband, Robert of Linn, WV; Daniel Moore and wife Nina of San Antonio, TX; Jacqueline Hashman and husband, Dillon of Glenville, WV; Tangela Gillgress and husband, Bruce of Lowell, OH; and Frank Cox and wife Divena of Elizabeth; Grandchildren: Roberta Radcliff-Carney and husband Matthew, William Radcliff; Laken, Kallie, Dakota, Liam, Elijah, and Josh Moore; Seanna and Stacey Smith; Brandon, Dustin, Brittany and Jordan Ragans; Charity and Leah Gillcrest; Allison and Caitlyn Cox; Great-grandchildren: Myla and Kaylin Radcliff and Bryce and Tyler Ragans; Siblings: Connie and Debra Roberts; Barbara McKown, Rodney, Ricky and Calvin Westfall and several nieces and nephews; special friends: Brenda and Jack McCartney; Kevin Wiant; and Paul and Linda Lamm.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Vancamp and Randall Westfall and step-father, Les Westfall.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., Glenville, WV, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Charlie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at the Rhoades Cemetery, on Kelly Run. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, September 4 at the Mortuary. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Cedar Grove Community Church of Parkersburg (Rt. 47, Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, WV 26104) or the First Baptist Church of Glenville, Cancer Fund.
