Charles Tomey age 71 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Genesis Health Car, Glenville Center following an extended illness. Born October 21, 1946 in Linn, WV. Charles is the son of the late Howard and Eva Leeson Tomey.
Charles enjoyed living the quiet life in WV. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed relaxing on his front porch watch cars go by while drinking a cup of coffee.
On May 8, 1982 Charles was united in marriage to Bonnie Hefner Tomey, who survives at their Glenville home.
Surviving are 5 children, April Riffle (Rayjay) of Sand Fork, Beverly Tomey of Sand Fork, Michael Tomey (Jordain) of Glenville, Howard Tomey of Weston, and Steven Tomey of Letter Gap, 6 siblings, Dale and Jack Tomey of Sand Fork, Ronald and Faye Tomey of Arizona, Rosalee Westfall of Weston, and Betty West of Kentucky, and his little dog named Princess.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by 7 siblings, Ruth, Jerry, Dave, Robert, Jim, Calvin, and Waitman Tomey.
A funeral Service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26351 at 11:00 AM; Friday, April 13, 2018 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Grove Cemetery in Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 10-11 AM; Friday morning at the mortuary.
