Buddie Ross Cain, age 80 of Tanner WV, got the ultimate healing from his cancer on Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019 at the Miletree Center Nursing Facility in Spencer WV, following a short battle with cancer.
He was born December 5, 1938 in Tanner WV, son of the late Hartzel and Glenda G. Ferguson Cain.
Buddie retired from Pennzoil after 38 years of working in the oilfields of Tanner, he was a member of the Little Kanawha Handgunners, and a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Grantsville WV.
Buddie loved his family and cherished the many memories made with each of them. He was blessed to have many loving and supportive friends that he had the privilege of knowing throughout his life. All of which were cherished and priceless gifts to him.
As a faith filled Christian, his hope for you all is to find the same eternal hope of salvation that he had come to know personally through the Lord, Jesus Christ.
On March 13, 1963 Buddie was united in marriage to Judith Ann “Judy” Bee Cain, who preceded him in death on August 11, 2006.
Buddie is survived by his loving daughter, Sherri Greenlief and husband Phillip of Tanner, and grandson, Pastor Chris Tatman and wife Tammy of Glenville WV; siblings, Bob Cain and wife Joyce of Tanner, and Delma Smith of Parkersburg WV.
Also surviving are his 2 great-granddaughters, whom he loved with all his heart, Kaylee and Marlee Tatman of Glenville, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, Buddie is preceded in death by 1 sister, Dodie Cain Amos.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2019 with Pastor Dennis Legg and Pastor Chris Tatman officiating. Burial will follow in the Tanner Baptist Cemetery in Tanner WV. Friends will be received from 12-noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the mortuary in Glenville.
