Obituaries

Elmer L Mills, age 82 of Mills Lane, (Little Bull Run Community), WV; departed this life suddenly on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his residence while working around his home.
He was born February 21, 1938 in Williamsport, MD; son of the late Victor D. and Della V. Wolfe Mills
Elmer was a carpenter for E.D. Plummer in Pennsylvania having retired in the late 1990’s. In his spare time, Elmer loved hunting, playing cards, caring for their land, living the quiet life in West Virginia, and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible.
On February 24, 1958 Elmer was united in marriage to Corrine McClanathan Mills, who survives at their home on Mills Lane and celebrated 62 wonderful years together
Surviving are 4 children, Vicki Cordell and fiancée Todd Gardener, Wayne Mills, Lisa Eagle and husband Billy, and Tammy Kirby and husband Kenny, 6 grandchildren, Dez McCullough, Traci Cornwell, Jessica Patterson, Stephanie Wesmiller, David Speaker, and Paloma McCarty, and 5 great-grandchildren, Robert and Ariel Langlotz, Rozalynn Patterson, and Taylor and Tessa Cornwell.
Also surviving are a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous other wonderful family and friends
Along with his parents, Elmer is preceded in death by a great grandson, Dominic Swartz, and several brothers and sisters.
The family’s request for cremation has been honored and the family will have a celebration of Elmer’s life to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cleveland Clinic in Elmer’s honor.
