Obituaries

Roy Wayne Green age 93 of Glenville, WV formerly of LaGrange, OH departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Monday, June 8, 2020 at his residence with his loving wife Glena by his bed side.
He was born May 17, 1927 in Braxton County, WV, son of the late Frank and Harriet Starcher Green.
Roy was a Christian by faith and attended the Stewarts Creek Community Church. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, all kinds of sports, and living the quiet life in West Virginia. He and his wife spent 50 years in LaGrange before moving to Glenville in the December of 2018.
On March 30, 1956 Roy was united in marriage to Glena Mae Jenkins Green, who survives at their residence on Jakes Run.
Along with his loving wife, Roy is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Roy is the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by 2 sisters, Belva Green and Jean Abbott, and 3 brothers, Ralph and Herbert Green, and twin brother, Paul Green.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26351 at 1:00 PM; Friday, June 12, 2020 with Pastor David Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 11:00-1:00 Friday at the mortuary in Glenville.
