Freddie Monroe Perry II age 44 of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life in the evening hours of Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV following an extended illness.
He was born November 6, 1975 in Elyria, OH; son of the late Charles “Buzz” Perry and survived by his mother Karen Buchanan Elder and step-father Dale of Glenville.
Freddie was a truck driver for Carter Lumber and Del Lumber in Elyria Ohio. In his spare time, Freddie enjoyed coaching Little Pioneer Football, woodworking, hunting, and bush craft camping.
Freddie’s favorite past time was playing the fatherly figure to all the kids around him. His children’s friends would regularly be at the house and he would be ready to help them in any way they needed. There are several young adults in the community whom Freddie always considered his adopted kids.
Freddie is a Baptist by faith and member of the Camden Flats Baptist Church.
On February 14, 1994 Freddie was united in marriage to Nashlee Rogers Perry, who survives at their Glenville home.
Surviving are 3 children, Charles “Tad” Perry and girlfriend Samantha Yoak, Coleden Perry, and Dustin Stump and fiancée Abigail Sutton, and 1 sister, April Stump and husband Jon all of Glenville.
Also surviving is his grandmother, Peggy Schoger of North Ridgeville, OH; a grandson, Aiden Yoak of Grantsville, WV; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his father, Freddie is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Maxine Perry, Uncle Chuck Perry, and cousins, Matt Elkins and Peggy Rodriguez.
Freddie’s request for cremation has been honored and a Memorial Service will be held at the Camden Flats Baptist Church on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM; with Pastor Dwight Goff officiating. Later in the summer of 2021, the family will have a celebration of Freddie’s life at his bush craft camp in Tanner, WV.
