Annalea June Greenlief age 84 of Glenville, WV departed this life on Saturday morning January 2, 2021 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center in Glenville, WV; following an extended illness and brief battle with Covid-19.
She was born May 7, 1936 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Shirley “Bill” and Erma Pritt Moore.
Annalea is a graduate of Normantown High School class of 1955. She was a homemaker and also spent time working at Kenny Shoe Factory, CRI, and Tula Smith dry cleaning all of Glenville. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting bells, growing flowers around her home, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible.
On July 22, 1955 Annalea was united in marriage to Leonard Greenlief who preceded her in death on February 8, 2012.
Surviving are 2 children, Larry Greenlief of Elyria, OH; and Shirley Greenlief and husband James Latonick of Martinsburg, WV; 4 siblings, Jack Moore of Glenville, Edmund “Bub” Moore (Stella) of Glenville, Bryan Moore (Debbie) of Webster Springs, WV; and Elizabeth “Janie” Foster of Webster Springs, and 5 grandchildren, Rachel Clark of Glenville, Bill Greenlief (Ciana) of Auburn, WV; Jason Greenlief of Glenville, Kristi Greenlief of Elyria, OH; and Ashley Peters (John) of Glenville.
Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren, Trisha and Amber Clark, Shayla Sipling, Savannah and Preston Greenlief, Haylee Greenlief, Bianca Picione, Hunter and Cutler Bailey, Ryan and Jayden Maxwell, and Haylea, Ashley, and Emilee Peters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Annalea is preceded in death by 2 sons, Jeffrey and Charles Greenlief, and 1 brother, Merlin ”Hump” Moore.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Rhoades Cemetery on Kelly Run Road at 4:00 PM; Wednesday, January 6, 2021 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating.
