Obituaries

Harold Bonnett Jr., 72, of Glenville, WV; formerly of Baldwin, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center following an extended illness.

He was born February 26, 1949 in Gilmer County, son of the late Harold and Alma Richards Bonnett.

Harold enjoyed deer hunting in his youth and taking drives in his many cars. He was previously employed at Kenney Shoe Factory in Glenville and Gatewood Products in Parkersburg.

He loved life and loved people. Anyone who knew him loved him and his quirky ways. He was a generous soul who would give anyone anything he has, and did so many times over. He brought joy to all who knew him. He has given millions of people wonderful memories that we will cherish forever and we are robbed of a beautiful soul from cancer

Surviving are 2 brothers, Robert R. Bonnett (Milly) of Burnsville, WV and Jimmy R. Bonnett Karen) of Exchange, WV.

Also surviving are numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his sister, Oleta May Bonnett, 3 half-brothers, William, Charles, and Cecil, and 3 half-sisters, Maxine, Noreen, and Willadean.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Monday, November 22, 2021 with Rev. Martin Wine officiating. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Cemetery near Grantsville. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon-1:00 PM; Monday at the mortuary in Glenville.
