Obituaries

Erless Mae Conley, 78 of Orlando, WV; departed this earthly life in the late morning hours of Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born August 9, 1943 in Braxton County, daughter of the late Claude and Lucy Allen Ratliff.

Erless is a graduate of Long Run High School, class of 1961. She is a homemaker who loved caring for her family, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible, quilting, gardening, and she was as her family put it a “Great Cook”.

She is a Baptist by faith and was a member of the Orlando Baptist Church.

On June 10, 1963 Erless was united in marriage to Thomas Adrian Conley, who preceded her in death on September 20, 2004.

Surviving are 8 children, Steven A. Ratliff and wife Robin of Burnt House, WV; Jeffery T. Conley of Orlando, Edward K. Conley and wife Lisa of Orlando, Thomas R. Conley of Lower Sinking Creek, WV; William F. Conley of Orlando, Becky J. Crites of Linn, WV; Brenda L. Conley of Frisco, NC; and Barbara L. Nicholson and husband Scotty of Glenville.

Also surviving is a sister, Ruby Wine of Youngstown, OH; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her husband and parents, Erless is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Neil Conley, a great-granddaughter Bristol Paige Ramey, a brother, Harold Ratliff, and a half–sister, Minnie Belle Conrad.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Friday, November 26, 2021 with Rev. Delmas Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Heaters, WV. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday at the mortuary in Glenville.
