Mae Waupoose, 90 of Indian Fork Road, Orlando, WV; departed this earthly life suddenly in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV; following a sudden illness.
She was born May 20, 1931 in Wells, MI; daughter of the late Jerry and Cora Campbell Goodwill.
Mae was a homemaker who loved caring for her 13 children and 80 plus grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, needle work, crocheting, gardening, working with crafts, and she authored her own book called “Mama, Mama, Michelle’s on Fire”.
Surviving are 13 children, Leona Seely (Ward), Melvina Peters, Charlotte Waupoose (Alvin), Joe Westlund, Lorraine Wright (Eddie), Jenny Lagunes (Don), Michelle Rindt (Heath), Mary Kaminecki (Chuck), Elaine Waupoose (Jeff), Eleanor Waupoose, and William Waupoose.
Also surviving is her companion William Cobb, 80 plus grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents, Mae is preceded in death by 3 husbands, Melvin Wright, Orrin Westlund, and Mitchell Waupoose, 4 children, Allen Goodwill, Sherry Westlund, Orrin Westlund, Loretta Waupoose, and 5 siblings, Wallace, Joseph, Martin, Mary, and Charles.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Friday, March 18, 2022 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Following local services, Mae will be transported to Gladstone, MI; where she will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.
