Obituaries

Kathryn Moore Lee, 88 of Vienna, Virginia, departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 14, 2022 at her home in Vienna, VA; following a brief illness.

She was born January 3, 1934 in Orlando, WV; daughter of the late Benton and Hazel Sager Moore.

Kathryn is a graduate of Victory High School in Clarksburg, WV; class of 1952. Part of her working career was spent as a nursing assistant in the health care industry and she also worked up until she was 85 years old as a consultant in the Rental/Leasing industry.

Kathryn had a strong Christian faith and attended the Mclean Bible Church in Vienna, VA. In her spare time Kathryn enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping with her daughter, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible.

In 1958 Kathryn was united in marriage to Robert Lee, who departed this life on December 19, 2007.

Surviving are 3 children, Toni Liggitt and husband Ed of Vienna, VA, Tommy Lee and wife Sara of Fairfax, VA; and Bobby Lee of Edinburg, VA; 6 grandchildren, Joey Lee, Eddie Liggitt, Robby Lee and wife Anna, Tyler Lee, Brandon Lee, and Mason Lee, and 4 great grandchildren, Tyler, Dominic, Owen, and Avery Lee.

Also surviving is a special nephew, Ben Moore of Clarksburg, WV; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Kathryn is preceded in death by her loving son, Kevin Lee and 3 siblings, Colleen, Joseph, and Thomas Moore.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Saturday, August 27, 2022 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery on Indian Fork, near Sand Fork, WV. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM Saturday at the mortuary in Glenville.
