Nathaniel Winfred Morgan
October 17, 1942 - September 17, 2022
Nathaniel Winfred Morgan, 79 of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life in the morning hours of Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his residence following a short illness.
He was born October 17, 1942 in Glen Jean, WV; son of the late Lineman and Claudale Muse Morgan.
Nathaniel is a graduate of Glen Jean High School, class of 1961 and is a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his working life as a truck driver in the retail industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, surfing the internet, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
In the early 1970’s Nathaniel was united in marriage to Betty Knokes Morgan who preceded him in death on August 26, 2009.
Surviving are 7 children, Andre Morgan of Rockville, MD; Nathaniel Morgan Jr. of Gaithersburg, MD; Michael Morgan of Glenville, Tito Johnson of Brandon, FL; Denise Morgan of Laurel, MD; Deanna Morgan of Prince George, MD; and Benjamin Morgan of Glenville, and 1 sister, Sandra “Kitty” Morgan of Germantown, MD.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, Nathaniel is preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrina Morgan and 2 siblings, Bernice Morgan and Alexander Morgan.
Nathaniel’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date.
