Richard G. “Rick” Peggs Jr., 69 of Glenville, WV; (Lower Cedar Creek community) departed this life suddenly Sunday, October 2, 2022 at his residence with his family.
He was born January 23, 1953 in Weston, WV; son of the late Richard Sr. and Gladys May Lamb Peggs.
Rick is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1971 and he attended WVU in Morgantown where he majored in Agricultural economics. Rick worked many jobs through his life from Kenney Shoe Factory, Fort Belvore in Virginia, and he worked for various oil companies including Roberts Service Center and for Bobby Gene on the saw mill. He enjoyed fishing, farming, and spending time with his family and friends, Denny Hamric, Jimmy and Linda Yates, and Dave Curry.
Surviving is a sister, Glennis Peggs and special friend James Stout, 3 nieces, Carlena, Nicole, and Sarah Roberts, 4 great-nephews Gunner Roberts (Savanna), John Cottrill Jr., Zach Roberts, and Austin Clark, and 1 great niece, Athena Clark, all of Glenville.
Rick’s request for Cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date.
