Kathryn L. Wallbrown, 61 of Normantown, WV; departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV; following a brief illness.

She was born May 7, 1961 in Elyria, OH; daughter of the late Holbert and Wilma Lane Moore.

Kathy is a graduate of Keystone High School in La Grange, OH; class of 1979. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed riding ATV’s spending time with her husband, family, and friends, caring for her dogs, Sammi, Digger, and Spud, and spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible.

On August 21, 1982 Kathy was united in marriage to Jeff Wallbrown, who survives at their Normantown home.

Surviving are 4 children, Mike Wallbrown and wife Kelly of Clarksburg, WV; Crystal Cox and husband Scott of Glenville, WV; Jean McCune and husband Benny of Glenville, and Matt Wallbrown and wife Amanda of Rosedale, WV; and 4 siblings, Terry Moore and wife Sue of Normantown, Rose Stalnaker and husband Jerry of Normantown, Audrey Ridenour and husband Rick of Savanah, OH; and Virginia Fairchild and husband Fred of Ashland, Ohio.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by 4 siblings, Patty Easterday, Laura Coil, and Doug, Maxine, and James Moore.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Friday, October 21, 2022 with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. Following funeral services, Kathy’s request for cremation will be honored. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM; Friday at the mortuary in Glenville.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Braxton County Humane Society in honor of Kathy.
