Jerry Woodson

Jerry Woodson, age 75, of Glenville, WV, formerly of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
He was born in Buckhannon, West Virginia on October 31, 1946 to the late Mirl E. Woodson and Arlene Woody Woodson Lee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Deloris Bryant; brother Gene Woodson and wife, Christa; his brothers Elmer Woodson; and Albert Woodson and brother-in-law Bryan Harper.
He is survived by siblings Wanda Hawkins and husband Dale of French Creek, WV, Carla Harper of Buckhannon, WV, Tammy Ford and husband Michael of Salem, WV, brother-in-law Edgar Bryant of French Creek, WV; sister-in-law Opal Woodson of Selbyville, WV, several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Corporal Woodson served his country with honor in Vietnam where he was combat wounded and received the Purple Heart.
His request for cremation was honored and there will be a graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery, Czar, WV, at a later date.
