May 18, 1959 - February 15, 2023
Reta L. Wilfong Reed, 63 of Cedarville, WV; departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following an extended illness.
She was born on May 18, 1959 in Cedarville, WV; daughter of Lucy Marie (Gregory) Wilfong of Cedarville, and the late Delbert Wilfong.
Reta worked as a laborer in manufacturing, having worked for multiple companies in northeast Ohio. She moved back to Gilmer County 17 years ago and enjoyed living the quiet life in West Virginia very much. In her spare time, Reta enjoyed quilting, ATV riding, gardening, working outdoors, working on her home, and spending time with family and friends. She is a Christian by faith and attended church at the Church of God of Prophecy in Sand Fork, WV.
Surviving is a son, Todd Peggs (Cassie Kalorik) of Cleveland, OH; 4 grandchildren, Breanna Peggs, Kailee Seabold, Tristan Peggs, and Jordan Peggs (Kindra), 1 great-granddaughter, Avelyn Peggs, and 5 siblings, Gary Wilfong of Lee, FL; Vernon Wilfong (Bridget) of Elyria, OH; Arlene Wilfong Clements (Gary) of Whitehall, MI; Dianne Wilfong Belknap (Rick) of Toledo, OH; and Sharon Wilfong Keesecker (David Mark) of Grafton, OH.
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her father, Reta is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Peggs Wallbrown and a sister, Linda Wilfong Stump.
Reta’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of her life will be conducted at a late date.
