Sally Sue Peggs
January 4, 1960 - February 22, 2023
Sally Sue Peggs, 63 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the morning hours of Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV; following an extended illness.
She was born January 4, 1960 in Sand Fork, daughter of the late Lewis and Evelyn Singleton Lattea.
Sally was a former employee of the Gilmer County Senior Center and Genesis Health Care Glenville Center. She is a Baptist by faith and enjoyed collecting knickknacks, crocheting, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible, and spending time with family and friends.
On May 15, 1976 she was united in marriage to Donald Lee Peggs Sr., who preceded her in death on May 26, 2014.
Surviving are 3 children, Belinda Sue Minney and husband Charles of Glenville, Samuel Curtis Peggs of Sand Fork, Melissa Ann Morris and husband Douglas of Normantown, 4 step children, Connie Marie Peggs Thompson, Delores Ann Peggs Glenn (Chuck Hume), Donald Lee Peggs Jr (Michelle)., and Donna Joyce Webb, and 4 siblings, John Lattea, Robert Lattea and wife Barbara, James C. Lattea and wife Julie, and Linda Warner and husband Rick.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, Hannah Minney (Darien Turner), Adam Minney, Logan, Mason, and Jacob Morris, Aaron Lee Glenn, Alicia Dawn Webb Davis, Christopher Lee Jarvis, Kiara Leann Peggs, Ethan Elias Peggs, Isaac Jacob Peggs, Joseph Heater II, Justin Phillip Peggs, Matthew Carl Glenn, Nathan Eugene Thompson, Patrick Lee Webb, Thomas Edwin Thompson, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her husband and parents, Sally is preceded in death by 1 infant step-son, Comen Peggs, 5 grandchildren, Eric Allan Glenn, Infant Morris, Lisa Ann Webb, Victoria Ann Heater, and Nicholas Eric Thompson and 3 siblings, Lewis A. Lattea Jr., Sandra Kay Pennington, and Michael Lattea.
Sally’s request for cremation has been honored and a private family celebration of her life will be conducted at a later date.
