James A. Rexroad, 77 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the evening hours of Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV; following an extended illness.
He was born May 29, 1945 in Gilmer County, WV; son of the late Archie and Orva Parsons Rexroad.
James was an employee of Quality Contractor for numerous years until his retirement. He is a Christian by faith who loved hunting, fishing, gardening, bluegrass music, and attending the Folk Festival, which he always looked forward to.
Surviving is his daughter, Becky Lambert and companion Ben Napier of Lewisburg, WV; granddaughter, Seka Eakle of Bluefield, VA; Granddaughter Raven Rexroad of Glenville, WV; and a great-grandson Christian Tennington of Bluefield, VA.
Also surviving are 3 siblings, Dave Rexroad and wife Karen of Myrtle Beach, SC; Frank Rexroad and wife Brenda of Sand Fork, and JoAnn Jones of Capon Bridge, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 12:00 noon; Thursday, April 20, 2023 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Stalnaker-Norris Cemetery near Normantown, WV; (Grass Run). Friends will be received from 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon Thursday at the mortuary in Glenville.
