Billy Radabaugh, 88 of Glenville, WV; (Kanawha Drive Community) departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following an extended illness.
He was born September 10, 1934 in Gilmer County, son of the late Hoy and Pauline (Reaser) Radabaugh
Bill is a graduate of Tanner High School. His working career started in Cleveland, OH; with Thompson Products, then back to Gilmer County with McCall Drilling Company, Kewanee Oil Company, later becoming self-employed being the owner/operator of Radabaugh Pumps and Supply Inc., which was an oil well pump and supply company.
In his spare time, Bill was an avid girls’ basketball fan of both Glenville State University and Gilmer County High School. He also enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, spending time at his cabin, riding his 4 wheeler, spending time with family and friends, and in his earlier years enjoying his motor boat and water skiing at Burnsville Lake.
On August 31, 1953 Bill was united in marriage to Mary Ann “Peg” (Maxwell) Radabaugh who preceded him in death on December 30, 2022.
Surviving is a son Robert L. “Bob” Radabaugh and wife Sharon of Sand Fork, WV; a grandson, Jeremy B. Radabaugh of Charleston, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, Bill is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Jo McCartney and Peggy Frymier.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Tuesday, August 15, 2023 with Pastor Bryan Groves and Pastor Tony Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM; Tuesday at the mortuary in Glenville.
