Steven Joseph “Steve” Shepkosky Jr., 48 of Spencer, WV; formerly of South Charleston, WV; departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Miletree Center in Spencer, WV; following an extended illness.
He was born March 16, 1975 in Mt. Holly, NJ; son of Debra (Mendenhall) Gidel and step-father, Mark of Southampton Township, NJ; and the late Steven J. Shepkosky Sr.
Surviving are 2 sons, Steven J. Shepkosky III of Glenville, WV; and Christian Hunter of Florida, 1 sister Heather Maxwell and husband Dustin of Bozeman, MT, 1 brother, Jack Shepkosky of Pemberton, NJ, 3 step sisters, Rebecca Gidel and Jamie Clark of SC; and Lauren Gidel of VA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends whom he loved very much.
Along with his father Steven Sr. and wife Terry, Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Eleonore Mendenhall and Leonard and Eleanor Shepkosky.
Steve’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date.
