David L. Waddell, 57 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life suddenly in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 24, 2023.
He was born July 27, 1966 in Philadelphia, PA; son of the late Melton and Joan (Winters) Waddell.
David was a mechanic in the automotive industry for most of his working life and enjoyed being outdoors, ATV and motorcycle riding, hunting, playing games on his phone, and spending time with family and friends.
David is survived by his loving fiancée, Laurie Crouch of Tanner, WV; 3 children, Ceterika Dobbins (Johnathon) of Sand Fork, Harley Waddell of Parkersburg, WV; and Maggie Waddell of Alum Bridge, WV; 2 step-children, Dakota Radcliff and Jacob Freeman both of Tanner, 2 grandchildren, Dalton and Benjamin Dobbins, and 2 siblings, Alycia Snare (Chris) of Maryland, and John Waddell (Donna) of Sand Fork.
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Brent and Robert Waddell.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Sunday, August 28, 2023 with Pastor Samuel Massey officiating. Following services, David’s request for cremation will be honored. Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM; Monday at the mortuary in Glenville.
