Shannon Thompson Rush, 74 of Fairmont, WV; formerly of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV; following a brief illness.
She was born March 16, 1949 in Canton, OH; daughter of the late Harry and Anna Laura (Layfield) Thompson.
Shannon considered herself to be a creator who enjoyed playing guitar, singing, researching her interests on her computer, listening to gospel music, and spending time reading.
Surviving is her loving daughter, Angela Thompson of Point Marion, PA; a brother, Billy Thompson of Louisville, OH; a granddaughter, Callie Pileggi (Josh) of Morgantown, and 2 great-grandchildren, Liam and Hudson Pileggi.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Saturday, December 2, 2023. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM; Saturday afternoon at the mortuary in Glenville.
