Sharon E. Hurley, 81 of Normantown, WV; departed this earthly life in the morning hours of Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence with her loving husband by her side.
She was born December 16, 1942 in Baltimore, MD; daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn (Hacker) Alexander.
Sharon is a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She graduated from Bel Air High School in Bel Air, MD; class of 1960. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed working puzzles, caring for her many beloved pets, and living the quiet life in West Virginia.
On March 7, 1964 Sharon was united in marriage to Larry Hurley, who survives at their Normantown home.
Surviving are 3 children, David Hurley and wife Margaret of Bel Air, MD; Kelly Hurley of Reston, VA; and Rebecca Turkin and husband Richard of Berlin, MD; 1 brother, Kirk Alexander of Glenville, PA; 3 grandchildren, Amber Turkin, Trevor Turkin and wife Mikaela, and Elizabeth Hurley, and 1 great-grandchild, Hendrix Turkin.
Sharon’s request for cremation has been honored and Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., is humbled to assist the family with cremation arrangements.
