Kenton R. Frymier, age 67 of Cox’s Mills, West Virginia, (Newberne Road Community) departed this life Friday morning April 17, 2015 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born August 14, 1947 in Gilmer County, son of Ruby Hinzman Frymier, who survives in Tanner, West Virginia, and the late Hurbert “Nip” Frymier.

Kenton was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1965. He was a retired bus driver for the Gilmer County Board of Education, with over 30 years of service. Kenton also drilled water wells, worked on water pumps, and drove a logging truck. In his spare time, Kenton loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and was a member of the Mt. Liberty Methodist Church.

On September 27, 1968, Kenton was united in marriage to Marilyn R. “Peggy” Ross Frymier, who preceded him in death on October 28, 2011.

Surviving are 2 children, Melisha Cain and husband Gary and Kenton Frymier Jr. and wife Anne, both of Cox’s Mills, and 4 grandchildren Mary Anne Cain, Ruthann Viola Cain and Kevin Ryan Frymier all of Cox’s Mills, and Daisy Mae Frymier who will arrive in early August.

There are 4 brothers, Kline Frymier of Cox’s Mills, Melvin Frymier of Glenville, and Doug Frymier of Tanner, and Randy Frymier of Phillippi, West Virginia, 5 sisters, Judy Luck of Norwich, Ohio, Janice Sheets of Smithville, West Virginia, Phyllis Sabo of Kent, Ohio, Patricia Phares of Waynesburg, Ohio, and Joyce Doak of West Union, West Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews also surviving.

Along with his wife Peggy and father Nip, Kenton was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Mike Frymier and David A. “George” Frymier.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 21, 2015. Burial will follow in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday evening at the mortuary.
