Samantha Dawn “Sammy” Cottrell, 30 of Jane Lew, WV; departed this earthly life in early afternoon hours of Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Glenville C enter Nursing Facility in Glenville, WV; following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born June 14, 1993 in Grantsville, WV; daughter of Calvin and Betty (Howes) Cottrell of Glenville, WV.
Sammy is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 2011. She worked as a laborer in the oil and gas industry and enjoyed coon hunting, showing her dogs, being outdoors, living the quiet life in West Virginia, and spending time with her children, Caden and Roxxi.
Along with her parents, Sammy is survived by her children, Caden and Roxxi Blosser, and 3 siblings, Ginger Cottrell of NC; Jimmie Cottrell Kristy) of OK; and Joshua Cottrell (Kelly) of TX.
Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Per her request Sammy will be cremated and the family will have a celebration of her life at a later date.
