Patricia L. “Patty” Crouch, 83 of West Union, WV; departed this earthly life suddenly in the evening hours of Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston WV.
She was born April 16, 1940 in Sand Fork, WV; daughter of the late Lowell and Eva (McCullough) Wilson.
Patty was a homemaker who loved caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a former corrections officer for the Lewis County Sheriff’s office, and was a faithful Christian by faith.
In her spare time, Patty enjoyed caring for her home and lawn, dancing, cooking, skating, bowling, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible. She has been described as a Jack of all trades and a master of them all, and was known by her family as the keeper of secrets in her family.
Surviving is her partner in crime, Larry Hayes of West Union, 7 children: David Lee Crouch and wife Pam of Auburn, WV, Phyllis Anne Jones and Arbee of West Union, WV, Susan Elaine Crouch of Parkersburg, WV; William Franklin Crouch of Leopold, WV, Jeffery Dean Crouch of Troy, WV, Richard Patrick Crouch of Conings, WV, and Christopher Lynn Crouch of Troy, WV; and 3 siblings, Jeane Groves of Elkins, WV; Judy Snider and husband Larry of Flatwoods, WV; and Carol Ann Goodrich and husband Dallas of Normantown, WV;
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Davy, Ben, Steven, Johnnie, Josh, Nathan, Ryan, Sam, Cortney, John, Olivia, Kira, Frankie, Kristen, Justin, and Morgan, 30 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Patty is joining in heaven, her son, John Allen Crouch, grandson, Justin Crouch, and 3 brothers, Harley, Charles, and Gary Wilson.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Tuesday, February 20, 2024 with Pastor William Munbauer officiating. Burial will follow in the Stalnaker Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM; Tuesday at the mortuary in Glenville.
