Freeda Gay Perrine, 78 of Burnsville, WV; departed this earthly life in the morning hours of Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV; following an extended illness.
She was born August 20, 1945 in Braxton County, WV; daughter of the late Alton and Jessie (Cosner) Carson.
Freeda is a graduate of Burnsville High School, class of 1965 and was a Christian by faith. She was a beautician around the Burnsville area having been the owner/operator of Freeda’s Beauty Shop. She also worked in the food service industry having worked for multiple restaurants in the Braxton Co. area.
In her spare time, Freeda enjoyed quilting, cooking, spending time with family and friends, caring for her pet cat Miss Goldie, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible, and caring for her family.
Surviving are 4 children, Tim Perrine and wife Beth of Dusk Camp, Eric Perrine of Weston, WV; Michele Wine and husband Tim of Dusk Camp, and Jeffrey Perrine of Westover; and 6 siblings, Ralph Carson (Ruth) of Gilmer Station, John S. Carson and companion Kate Blake of Buckhannon, WV; Ray Carson of Gilmer Station, Glen Carson (Linda) of Craigsville, WV; and Joyce Moore of Ohio.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Jesse Sears, Ethan Perrine (Amber), Lucas Perrine (Katarina), Shelby Ullom (Adan), Caleb Wine (Tonya), Devon Perrine, Seth Wine, Braeden Wine, and Joseph Wine, 3 great-grandchildren, Brendley, Kyzer, and Theodore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents, Freeda is preceded in death by 5 siblings, Russell Carson, Mary Heater, Mae Johnson, Carol Robinson, and Donnie Carson, and her loving dog, Rambo.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 AM; Saturday, March 9, 2024 with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Canfield Cemetery near Sand Fork, WV. Friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 PM; Friday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.
