Obituaries

Vivian Gray Ball, 77 of Tanner, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at the Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in Grantsville, WV; following an extended illness.

She was born July 29, 1946 in Braxton County, WV; daughter of the late Clyde and Waneda (Blake) Bosley.

Vivian was a cook in the food service industry having been employed at the former Weston State Hospital, with 10 years’ experience. In her spare time, Vivian enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, caring for her cats and dogs, and spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible.

On May 25, 1982 Vivian was united in marriage to Wilber Lee Ball, who survives at their home in Tanner.

Surviving is a son, Bobby Jo Fincham of Tanner, step-daughter, Brenda Heldreth of Clarksburg, WV; Step-daughter, Katina Smarr of Sand Fork, WV; Step-daughter, Laurie Crouch of Tanner, grandchildren, Amanda White, Matthew David Fincham, Melanie Raynor, step-grandchildren, John Post, Rebecca Post, Tyler Powell, Ceterika Dobbins, Dakota Radcliff, and Jacob Freeman, great-grandchildren, Jordyn White, James White, Aria Fincham, Auron Fincham, Arely Fincham, Zoey Raynor, Terran Raynor, step-great grandchildren, Dalton Dobbins and Benjamin Dobbins.

Along with her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by 6 brothers, Windle, Shay, Jim, Rondle and Gary Bosley, Bill Posey, 1 sister, Azalea Bosley, and step-son, Jeffrey Keith Ball

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Tuesday, March 19, 2024 with Pastor Donnie Stout officiating. Burial will follow on the Ball Family Farm in Tanner, WV. Friends will be received from 11:00 – 1:00 PM Tuesday at the mortuary in Glenville.
