Mary Louise Moore, 101of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Glenville Center Nursing Facility in Glenville following a short illness.
She was born January 20, 1923 in Glenville, daughter of the late Ernest and Pauline (Moss) Rutherford.
Mary is a Christian by faith and former employee of Kinney Shoe Factory in Glenville. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, drives in the mountains, local trips around WV; caring for her cats, and she was always willing to help others in need.
Surviving is her loving son, Jack Pritt of Round Lake Beach, IL; long-term companion, Arden Cox of Glenville, and 6 grandchildren, Terry Heckert and wife Mary of Glenville, Kim Frymier and husband Cliff of Glenville, Darlene Somerville and husband Rob of Linn, WV; Steven Pritt of Round Lake Beach, IL; Christina Smolka and husband Robert of Medford, WI; and Tracy Ostergaard of Trevor, WI. A son-in-law, Junior Heckert of Baldwin, WV also survives.
Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren, 10 great great-grandchildren (with another on the way), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents, Mary is preceded by her husband, James H. “Jim” Moore, daughter, Betty Lou Heckert, and 4 siblings, Junior, Waitman, and Charles Rutherford, and Wavajean Anderson and a daughter-in-law, Judy Pritt.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Sunday, June 23, 2024 with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 12:00 – 2:00 Sunday at the mortuary in Glenville.
