Janet L. Pritt, 77 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the evening hours of Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Glenville Center Nursing Facility following an extended illness.
She was born June 22, 1947 in Clarksburg, WV; daughter of the late Paul and Esther (Stump) Swiger.
Janet was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, reading, caring for family and friends, living the quiet life in Gilmer County, and she was a Christian by faith.
On January 16, 1966 Janet was united in marriage to John Pritt, who preceded her in death on December 30, 2003.
Surviving are 4 children, Johnathan Pritt and wife Kelly of Heaters, WV; Richard Pritt and wife Misty of Shock, WV; Debbie Sturms and husband Harold of Linn, WV; and Kevin Pritt and fiancée Beth Johnston of French Creek, WV; and 1 brother, Tim Swiger and wife Kathy of Baldwin, WV.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Janet is preceded in death by her loving son, Darren S. Pritt and a brother, Donald R. Swiger
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV: 26351 at 2:00 PM; Saturday, July 27, 2024 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Fork Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon -2:00 PM Saturday at the mortuary in Glenville.
