Amelia Raine Arnold, 23 of Fairmont, WV; formerly of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life suddenly in the mid-afternoon hours of Friday, July 26, 2024 in Tyler County, WV; following a motorcycle collision.
She was born August 8, 2000 in Glenville and is the daughter of Chris Arnold and wife Tracy of Glenville and Rose Marie (Bettis) Scott and husband Adam of Salem, WV.
Amelia is a graduate of Liberty High School (Harrison Co.), class of 2018 and a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, class of 2022. Amelia worked as an assistant manager at Pet Supplies Plus and was an animal lover all her life. In her spare time, Amelia enjoyed traveling, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, caring for her cats Opal and Lasagna and riding her motorcycle.
Left to cherish her memory are 4 siblings; Ira Arnold and companion Sarah Tresize of Glenville, and Matilda Ezekiah and Willow Arnold all of Glenville, paternal grandparents, Joyce Helmick Carpenter and husband Mike of Webster Springs, WV; and Sam Arnold and wife Wendy of Glenville, maternal grandparents, Andrea Hoglund and companion John Schneider of Grantsville, WV; and Jim Bettis of Glenville, and a special niece, Karliah Arnold of Glenville.
Also surviving is a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Amelia is preceded in death by 2 beloved cousins, Levi and Andrew Estep.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Wednesday, July 31, 2024 with Pastor Lloyd “Fuzz” Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiney Cemetery near Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM; Wednesday afternoon at the mortuary in Glenville.
