Clarence A. Williamson Jr., 74 of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon, WV; following an extended illness.
He was born August 1, 1949 in Gilmer County, son of the late Clarence A. Sr. and Helma “Berlie” (Harris) Williamson.
Clarence is a graduate of Glenville High School, class of 1967 and a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. Following his stint in the Army, Clarence continued to serve his county in the United States Army National Guard with 22 years’ experience at the time of his retirement.
Clarence also spent several years working for McDonalds in Glenville as a maintenance man having retired after 10 plus years.  Following retirement, Clarence enjoyed living the quiet life with his 2nd wife Dottie, traveling, sitting on his porch, woodworking, and watching Glenville State College basketball games with his son.
On April 5, 1975 Clarence was united in marriage to Shena R. (Phares) Williamson who preceded him in death on November 3, 1986.
Clarence married his 2nd wife Dorothy “Dottie” (Grounds) Williamson on September 23, 1990 who preceded him in death on January 20, 2020.
Surviving are 2 sons, Christopher Williamson of Glenville and Andrew Williamson and wife Trava of Libby, MT; 3 step-children, Lisa Nicholas (Stephen) of Gassaway; Roger Tallarito of Charlotte, NC, and Bradley Tallarito (Sarah) of Morgantown; and a sister Cheryl Wons of Davisville, WV.
Also surviving is a grandson, Aydan Williamson of Libby, MT; several step-grandchildren, numerous step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his parents and spouses, Clarence is preceded in death by a brother, Orval E. “Gene” Williamson.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 AM; Saturday, August 3, 2024 with Pastor Tony Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedarville Cemetery, with Full Military honors provided by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard. Friends will be received from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday at the mortuary in Glenville.
