Jeffrey N. Lowe, 71 of Normantown, WV; departed this earthly life in the evening hours of Friday, September 27, 2024 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following an extended illness.
He was born April 13, 1953 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Jack and Lenora (Williams) Lowe.
Jeff is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, Class of 1971, and had worked most of his life at the Lowes County Store in Normantown. After his father’s passing Jeff was the owner/ operator of the store until the late 1990’s. Jeff was also a mail carrier for the Postal Service with 15 years’ experience. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed working at the store, fishing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
On July 27, 2015 Jeff was united in marriage to Linda Evon (Marks) Peters Lowe, who survives at their Normantown home.
Surviving are 2 step sons, Dusty Peters and wife Jennifer of Shock, WV; and John Peters and wife Jessica of Rosedale, WV; 1 sister, Vicki Brady and husband Roger of Ronceverte, WV; 8 grandchildren, Jesalynn Peters (whom Jeff was very close to), Levi Peters, Hayden Peters, Jaylyn Peters, Landon Funk, Hoyt Funk, Rosie Funk, and Arlin Funk.
Also surviving are 3 nieces, Kate Davis, Amy Jasperse (Jeff), and Sarah Carr (Doyle) and numerous other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Jane Lowe and Alison Yanero.
Jeff’s request for cremation has been honored and a private celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date.
