Wilma Jean Huffman, age 83 of Copen, West Virginia, departed this life Monday afternoon, August 10, 2015 at the Crestview Nursing Facility in Jane Lew, West Virginia, following an extend illness. Born July 8, 1932 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, Wilma was the daughter of the late Wellington and Hazel Messenger McHenry.
Wilma was a former housekeeper at Oglebay State Park in Wheeling, West Virginia, and a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are 2 children, Danny Godfrey and wife Peggy of Wheeling, WV; and Brenda Godfrey of Folnsbee, West Virginia, 2 grandchildren, Amy McKenna and husband Paul of Wheeling, WV; and Kimberly Godfrey of Cleveland, Ohio, 2 great-grandchildren, Kmiah McKenna and Aidan McKenna both of Wheeling, WV, and 1 sister, Betty Salvino of Weston, West Virginia.
Along with her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her first husband, James Godfrey and her second husband Carl Huffman.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the McHenry II Cemetery on Sand Fork Road. Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday morning at the Mortuary.
