David Allen Stewart, 44 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the evening hours of Friday, December 13, 2024 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following an extended illness.
He was born September 11, 1980 in Grantsville, WV; son of Lloyd “Fuzz” Jr., and Connie (Townsend) Stewart of Glenville.
David is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1999. He worked as a cook in the food service industry having done a little bit of everything while working for the former Smokehouse BBQ restaurant in Glenville. In his spare, David enjoyed playing Xbox where his online gamer tag was “Hanglow”, watching food shows on TV, and he was an avid knife collector.
David is a Baptist by faith who enjoyed attending the New Found Freedom Baptist Church in Glenville where he was also a church trustee. He has been described as a gentle spirit, who loved spending time with family and friends.
On April 19, 2003 David was united in marriage to LaKisha (Tipton) Stewart who survives at their Sand Fork home.
Along with his wife and parents, David is survived by 2 siblings, Amanda Isenhart (CD) of Cedarville, and Brian Stewart (Crystal) of Glenville, and his maternal grandmother, Dorthy Townsend of Sand Fork.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
David is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bobby Townsend and paternal grandparents, Lloyd Stewart Sr and Edith Jones, niece, Kaytlyn Stewart and great- niece, Everlee Mae Hacker.

I want you to remember you’re the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me – my happy ending, my dream come true, my friend, and my love all wrapped up in one. I love you.
David’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date.
